78. WILLIAM HENRY LAWSON⁴ JOHNSTON (REV. LARKIN FARLEY³, GEORGE GREGORY ("G.G." OR "GREG")², LEWIS¹) (#624) was born in Randolph County, Arkansas, January 5, 1852. WILLIAM died December 20, 1929 in Randolph County, Arkansas, at 77 years of age. His body was interred in Randolph County, Arkansas, Masonic Cemetery.

He married MARTHA ADALA SPIKES in Randolph County, Arkansas, September 8, 1878. (MARTHA ADALA SPIKES is #625.) MARTHA was born in Randolph County, Arkansas August 2, 1859. MARTHA was the daughter of JESSE SPIKES. MARTHA died February 10, 1938 in Randolph County, Arkansas, at 78 years of age. Her body was interred in Randolph County, Arkansas, Masonic Cemetery. Jessie Spikes was a descendant of William Spikes, and Englishman, born in 1784.  He moved from Raleigh, North Carolina, to Grave County, Tennessee, and then to Randolph County, Arkansas, in 1820.

175 ii. ANNA ELIZA JOHNSTON (#1057) was born in Randolph County, Arkansas, March 1, 1886. ANNA died July 14, 1908 in Randolph County, Arkansas, at 22 years of age.

176 iii. MARY MAGDALENE JOHNSTON (#1058) was born in Randolph County, Arkansas, August 17, 1888. MARY died February 12, 1948 at 59 years of age. She married ALBERT SIDNEY CARROLL. (ALBERT SIDNEY CARROLL is #1422.)
