child 92 v. WILLIAM PERRY GREEN ROBINSON4 (#647)  ARRENA B3 JOHNSTON (GEORGE GREGORY ("G.G." OR "GREG")2, LEWIS1) was born in Randolph County, Arkansas in 1857. WILLIAM died on unknown date.

He married ELIZABETH H. "BETTY" LUTER (#2426) in Randolph County, Arkansas in 1879 or 1880.  Elizabeth was born in Kentucky on March 20, 1862.  She died on March 9, 1903 in Randolph County, Arkansas, at 40 years of age.  Her body was interred in Johnston Cemetery in Randolph County, Arkansas.

Note: Information provided to me by Glenda Coomer, a great granddaughter of Mary Hester (Wilson) Deaton Robinson, 2nd wife of James Lewis Robinson (Glenda is the granddaughter of Eliza Jane Deaton, Mary Hester's daughter by her 1st husband), and by George Fuller, grandson of James Gregory Johnston, lists William Perry Robinson, born in Randolph County, Arkansas, in 1857, as the 5th child of the Rev. Jesse Robinson and Arrena B. Johnston. This young man is shown in Randolph County, 1880 census, as Perry Robinson, 23 years old, married to "Bettie", age 18, living in Warm Springs township.

The 1910 Randolph County Register, shows that Redden C. Johnston, grandson of William Perry Green Johnston, was married to Sarah Arena "Sally" Robinson (daughter of "Perry Green" Robinson and Betty Luter) in 1902. It goes on to say that Sally Robinson was born on April 3, 1883, and died in Randolph County, on May 7, 1973.   Both she and Redden C. Johnston are buried in Johnston Cemetery, near Reyno, Arkansas.  I am convinced that William Perry Robinson, born in 1857, Perry Robinson, age 23 on the 1880 Census, and "Perry Green" Robinson, named in the 1910 Register are one and the same.  There is no doubt that William Perry Robinson was named after his uncle, William Perry Green Johnston. Whether he was actually given his uncle's full name, or whether the writer just assumed that the man who called himself "Perry" was really Perry Green, is a moot point.  I am also convinced that the 18 year old "Bettie" Robinson, listed with "Perry" on the 1880 census, and Betty Luter, born in 1862 in Kentucky, are one and the same.

WILLIAM PERRY GREEN ROBINSON and ELIZABETH H. "BETTY" LUTER had the following family:

child     i.  SARAH "SALLY" ARENA ROBINSON (#1534) was born on April 3, 1883.  Sarah died on May 7, 1973, in Arkansas, at 90 years of age.  Her body was interred in Arkansas, Johnston Cemetery.  She married REDDIN C. JOHNSTON (#1533) in Arkansas on August 13, 1902.  REDDIN was born in Randolph County, Arkansas, on January 29, 1880. Reddin died on February 17, 1968 in Randolph County, Arkansas at 88 years of age.  His body was interred at Johnston Cemetery in Randolph County, Arkansas. Reddin was the son of George Gregory Johnston and Ruth C. Hatley.
