48. SARAH MISSOURI3 JOHNSTON (PERRY GREEN2, LEWIS1) (#821) was born in Mississippi in 1845. SARAH died on date unknown.

She married (-------) DUNLAP in Lafayette County, Mississippi, about 1871. ((-------) DUNLAP is #1410.) (-------) was born on date unknown. (-------) died about 1879 in Parker County, Texas (probably).

Notes: 1. Although the 1880 census of Parker County, Texas shows Sarah (Johnston) Dunlap to be living in the household of her father, Perry Green Johnston, it is quite probable that, in fact, Sarah Missouri's parents were actually living in her (the widow Dunlap) home. Land records in Parker County reveal that Perry Green Johnston never acquired land in Parker County. Unfortunately, neither did a Dunlap who might have been Sarah Missouri's husband. However, a James Dunlap (1818-1884) did acquire a substantial piece of property in the same area that Sarah was living in the mid 1870's. He was the only Dunlap to have acquired property in that area during an appropriate time frame. It is considered a possibility that he was Sarah's father-in-law and that her husband had built their home on his father's land.

2. We have been unable to locate Sarah Missouri Dunlap on any census after 1880. Because she was only 35 years old in 1880, she probably remarried.

Note:  The marriage records of 1881 in Parker County, Texas shows Sarah Missouri Dunlap married J. E. Emsley on December 25, 1881.

SARAH MISSOURI JOHNSTON and (-------) DUNLAP had the following family:

child 144 i. First Boy4 DUNLAP (#1979) was born in Mississippi in 1872.

child 145 ii. Girl DUNLAP (#1417) was born in Mississippi in 1875
