255. HATTIE BELL⁵ JOHNSTON (WILLIAM MONROE⁴, JAMES FRANKLIN³, GEORGE GREGORY ("G.G." OR "GREG")², LEWIS¹) (#953) was born in Arkansas December 27, 1883. HATTIE died April 1, 1974 in Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas, at 90 years of age. Her body was interred in Randolph County, Arkansas, Johnston Cemetery.

She married JAMES HENRY DANIEL in Randolph County, Arkansas, about 1901. (JAMES HENRY DANIEL is #954.) JAMES was born in Illinois (came to Randolph Co. in 1889) August 11, 1864. JAMES died August 30, 1932 in Reyno, Randolph County, Arkansas, at 68 years of age. His body was interred in Randolph County, Arkansas, Johnston Cemetery.

Note: James Henry Daniel's 1st wife (in Illinois) was Elizabeth Pricilla Autrey. They had one child, Pricilla Jane "Dolly" Daniel, born November 11, 1888. After they moved to Randolph County, in about 1893, when Dolly was 4 years old, her mother died.

In 1901, when James Henry married Hattie Bell Johnston, Dolly was 13 years old, only 5 years younger than Hattie Bell. They never had a stepmother/stepdaughter relationship, rather more like dear and close friends, which they remained the rest of their lives. Dolly Daniel married Henry Clarence Harris on either February 4, 1907 or February 4, 1909. Henry was born October 4, 1886. Dolly died in May 1959, and Henry died in November 1976. Both are buried in Harris Cemetery, Brockett, Randolph County, Arkansas.

HATTIE BELL JOHNSTON and JAMES HENRY DANIEL had the following family:

406 i. TRESSIE LURLENE⁶ DANIEL (#957) was born in Brockett, Randolph County, Arkansas, January 19, 1904. TRESSIE died July 12, 1994 in Phoenix, Arizona, at 90 years of age. Her body was interred in Phoenix, Arizona, Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery. She married twice. She married MARVIN PRICE August 2, 1936. (MARVIN PRICE is #1809.) MARVIN was born on March 27, 1895 and died on August 22, 1945. Marvin was buried in Masonic Cemetery, Pocahontas, Arkansas  He had been married before and widowed. He had 2 children, M.L. & Pat Price. Tressie and Marvin had no children together.

Then in 1954 or 1955, Tressie married ALBERT VICTOR MORLEY.   He was also a widower with children, whose names are unknown. Albert was born in Canada and became a US naturalized citizen. He died and is buried in Phoenix, Arizona. (ALBERT VICTOR MORLEY is #1810.)

408 iii. LEOTIS DANIEL (#959) was born in Stokes, Randolph County, Arkansas in 1909. LEOTIS died about 1911 in Randolph County, Arkansas. His body was interred in Randolph County, Arkansas.

+ 409 iv. HENRY CLAY DANIEL was born May 8, 1911.

+ 410 v. JAMES CURTIS DANIEL was born January 27, 1915.

+ 411 vi. RHETA FAYE DANIEL was born August 20, 1917.
