He married LOU ELLA BURTON (#2719) on March 2, 1972.   Lou Ella was born on November 5, 1947 in St. Louis, Missouri to Raymond Burton and Mary Beatrice (Clinton) Burton.   Lou Ella died on January 10, 2011 in Sikeston, Missouri  She was buried at Calvary Cemetery in Charleston, Missouri.

JAMES RAY HARPER & LOU ELLA BURTON had the following family.

   i.  Janica Elizabeth Harper was born on May 17, 1974 in Sikeston, Missouri. Janica has a son, Peyton Leland Brannon born on September 21, 2007 in Sikeston, Missouri.

  ii.   Jamie Nicole Harper was born on January 18, 1982 in Charleston, Missouri.  She married Kenneth Robert Bailey on September 2, 2006 at St. Henry Catholic Church in Charleston, Missouri. Kenneth  was born on September 2, 1980 in Charleston, Missouri.  His mother is the late Sandra Sue Glass and Kenneth Eugene Bailey is his father.   Janie and Kenneth have a son,  Kenneth "Harper" Bailey, born on July 16, 2009 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri
